2018-2019 AEF Mini-Grant Recipients List
For over 20 years, the Arcadia Educational Foundation (AEF) has supported the teachers and staff of the Arcadia Unified School District through its signature Mini-Grant Program. This year, we are excited to announce we have funded 29 applications, benefiting 40 teachers and staff for a total of over $21,000!
AEF’s Mini-Grant Program channels our supporters’ donations directly into the classroom allowing our inspirational teachers and staff to enrich their current curriculum and enhance student learning. The largest individual grant of $5,000 was awarded to Holly’s Garden Makeover: Nurturing Nature and Sprouting Gardeners. Applicants, Cecile Bons-Jogminas, Susan Saenz, and Cathy Hurley wrote, “These unique hands-on experiences not only help students develop life science knowledge, they also instill in students a natural curiosity and respect toward nature now and into adulthood.” In addition, grants were also approved for school libraries at the three middle schools and the high school.
All of this would not be possible without the support of our donors. A BIG thank you to our donors for partnering with us as we strive to make a direct impact on the educational experience of all students. Together, we can help Arcadia Unified as they strive to Imagine…Inquire…Inspire!
